Synchronisation of 5 coupled metronomes performed in Lancaster University - I know, sounds exciting enough to put you to sleep but seriously, this sh#t is hypnotic and awesome - How the hell do those little metronomes do that - WTF ?

It's quite simply that the Metronomes are placed on two cans, equally spaced, allowing the momentum to be transfered to the cans, forcing them to rock back and forth in rapid succession. Eventually, the middle Met slows and then speeds up again, proving t
duh
The movement caused by the momentum of the Metronomes cause them to all synchronize eventually. That's my theory.
